Game Director Kohei Ikeda Tekken 8 – Bandai Namco has again lost one of the important figures behind the success of the Tekken series. After previously the legendary producer of Tekken, Katsuhiro Harada, announced his departure at the end of 2025, now it is the turn of Kohei Ikeda or better known as Nakatsu as Game Director of Tekken 8 to decide to leave the company after serving for two decades.
Kohei Ikeda, Game Director of Tekken 8 Announces He Has Officially Left Bandai Namco
Through an official statement via his personal Twitter X social media account, Ikeda expressed his gratitude to his colleagues, business partners and fans who have supported his career journey. He called his 20 years of experience at Bandai Namco a period full of learning and a valuable opportunity to be involved in various large projects.
Nakatsu himself did not explain his reasons for leaving the company. However, in his farewell message, Ikeda stated that he would continue to work in the games industry and was ready to face new challenges as a developer. Despite this, he has not revealed his next career goals or the projects he will work on after leaving the company.

The name Nakatsu itself is not a foreign figure for Tekken fans. Apart from serving as Game Director of Tekken 8, he also contributed to the development of a number of previous series such as Tekken 7, Tekken Tag Tournament 2, and Tekken 3D: Prime Edition.
In recent years, Ikeda has become one of the main figures leading the direction of Tekken’s development after some of Harada’s responsibilities began to be transferred to a new generation of developers. As of this writing, there has been no official announcement from Bandai Namco regarding Ikeda’s decision and who his replacement will be at the company.
The Future of the Tekken Game Series

Nakatsu’s departure shocked many parties. This is because Ikeda himself was believed to be one of the figures who should inherit the development baton for the Tekken series after Harada left.
With this incident, various questions and concerns began to arise among fans. Starting from what the future holds for the Tekken 8 game and the Tekken franchise as a whole, as well as who other figures will replace Ikeda and Harada to lead the development of the game.
When Harada left the company, Bandai Namco has confirmed that development of Tekken will continue and new content for Tekken 8 will still be released throughout 2026.
With the departure of Harada and Ikeda, Tekken is now entering a new era. Fans certainly hope that the remaining development team is able to maintain the quality of this legendary fighting franchise while bringing innovations that can maintain its relevance in the future.

PakarPBN
A Private Blog Network (PBN) is a collection of websites that are controlled by a single individual or organization and used primarily to build backlinks to a “money site” in order to influence its ranking in search engines such as Google. The core idea behind a PBN is based on the importance of backlinks in Google’s ranking algorithm. Since Google views backlinks as signals of authority and trust, some website owners attempt to artificially create these signals through a controlled network of sites.
In a typical PBN setup, the owner acquires expired or aged domains that already have existing authority, backlinks, and history. These domains are rebuilt with new content and hosted separately, often using different IP addresses, hosting providers, themes, and ownership details to make them appear unrelated. Within the content published on these sites, links are strategically placed that point to the main website the owner wants to rank higher. By doing this, the owner attempts to pass link equity (also known as “link juice”) from the PBN sites to the target website.
The purpose of a PBN is to give the impression that the target website is naturally earning links from multiple independent sources. If done effectively, this can temporarily improve keyword rankings, increase organic visibility, and drive more traffic from search results.
